This is me right at the top of the climb just before the tree. This time was a lot more fun. What a beatiful day it was.

This is Mark leading the first pitch. The first few moves gave me some trouble last time I climbed the route but no problems thjis time. What a jam!

Mark is a little below the crux. He had an easier time. Some of the finger jams were a bit too small for me. I ended up traversing left to another crack to get past the crux.

I took this pictue at the end of the day when we were packing up. There is a climber belaying at the anchors of Toe Jam and another on a route to the right of Double Cross.

Here is a landscape view of Smith Rock. What an amazing place. I would suggest not being there mid day in August. Hot!

It took us four times to get on this climb. We got lost, there was a line, thunder and rain and finally a chance to climb. Only did first pitch. A bit awkward traverse. This is Scott following the pitch.

Sctot on Brief Encounter (5.8) at Panty Wall. We climbed early morning at the end of July before the sun got up and got too hot.

The classic route "The Eye." I am starting up the crack. Pretty easy route but not 5.1 that the book says. There are definitely some exposed moves.

This is a view of Panty Wall from the approach trail (one way of going at least). There is a climber at the top of Boxer Rebellion and on the buttress to the right.

Geared up at the base fo Composure... 5.6 crack up Snowshed Wall at Donner Summit. Sweet hand jams.
