Jan on 'Ruotsalaisten Reitti'

Average Rating = 3.81/5 Jan on 'Ruotsalaisten Reitti'

Me on 'Ruotsalaisten Reitti', one of the oldest lines at Olhava. The line isn't very obvious at first, but it follows the easiest crack system to the top. From this picture you can easily see all the routes on the slab and Kantti on the right. Most of the routes start by balancing ones way across a wooden plank from the small island to a small ledge at the bottom of the slab. Photo taken by Tomi Hurskainen.

The Slab and Kantti at Olhava

Average Rating = 3.00/5 The Slab and Kantti at Olhava

The main slab at Olhava and one of the classics, Kantti on the right, follows the 'sunny side' of the corner. Me on 'Ruotsalaisten Reitti'. Photo taken by Tomi Hurskainen.

Topping out of Alppitorvi

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Topping out of Alppitorvi

Finishing Alppitorvi, a chimney rising out of the Olhava pond, and enjoying the sunset over the National Park. The climb is not hard but it was the perfect choice for the hot day! Inside the chimney the air is very cool as the sun never shines inside, and you can climb it like a chimney or as a face climb! We toproped it and had to lower down to the bottom so instead of climbing the whole climb inside the chimney we got to climb around a boulder stuck between the walls, so we even got a small roof into the climb!
