berkly sewing up the traverse for me - this one continues up the ramp on the left, with awesome over-water exposure (hence the name). We later learned that another second had taken a watery fall off the traverse, just skimming the top, earlier that weekend. Glad it wasn't me!

Elk Mountain Summit Dome -berkly on belay, jason beam toproping the exfoliating summit route after he and I followed berkly up a new (cleaner) line on the west end. These flakes are no good for pro but they're hard to resist climbing!

Possible first gear lead of a route right of Triple Technique. Briefly listed as Beach Blanket Bingo, for the sand, but after leading another steeper but juggier variation up the bulges just left of me there, decided Castles was a better name for what turned out to be a nice variety of narrowly spaced trad lines that share the same starts and finishes - which just got harder with the loss of the bottom high-step foothold underneath. It's strong sidepulls or traversing from the crack, now.

check Lohn's Land of Poe entry for parking directions & stay clear of the quarry - access is undefined so be kind & discreet if you visit -
this one's out of sight of the quarry but has a great view of Baldy from the top

first route of the morning - didn't see another climber all day, this Wednesday in June - spivey, prescient of okieterry's "R" rating suggestion, places only three or four stoppers and a cam-photo by leinosaur

The hoopster on Enduro Corner - wasn't sure where, exactly, so I was gonna link it to a v4 I found in Argentina, but now it looks like I don't have to link it to a route?
