Gettin' down, gettin' funky-- this is me a couple of years ago at the IVCF (InterVarsity Christian Fellowship) regional fall conference. Though a little dated, this shot embodies three things about me that will never change: Music, slightly odd hair, and a love for hanging out with my best friend--His name's God, by the way.

An interesting perspective on a portion of the main crest of the Beartooth range of Montana. This picture was taken from the summit of Lonesome Pk; Jasper Lake is in the foreground.

Taken from the plateaued summit of Black Mountain of the North Absaroka front, this shot serves as a testament to my high school days. In the foreground is my Joe, my partner-in-climb. I only wish he weren't so shadowed in this shot... it could have been a great one. Sigh...

I couldn't pass up this shot as dawn caught up with us on morning of our summit push on Castle Mtn, high on the crest of the Beartooth Mountains of Montana. I don't understand... what is it about the loneliness and desolation of the alpine that is so enticing to us?

With its shadowy North face rising above Pine Creek lake, Black Mountain is truly the monarch of the North Absaroka front of Montana. Though accessible in a day, this summit is beautiful enough to tempt even the most goal-oriented of us to linger.

Yes, believe it or not, I work here. This picture was taken during a lunch break high in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness of Montana, where we were running linear transects determining the density of the blister-rust fungus in whitebark pines such as those shown in left foreground.
It's a rough job, but I'll do my civic duty without, um, undue complaint.

Forest fire smoke hanging in the air made for an interesting sunset that evening in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana. This photo was taken approaching the summit of Mt. Dewey in an evening jaunt-- Mt. Wilse, Glacier Pk, and Mt. Villard appear in the background.
