14:45 hours from trailhead back to Whitney Portal. Weather was hot and thundershowers threatening last 4 hours of descent. Amazing climb -- recommend base camp sleep over to really enjoy the trip. We summited Humphrey's Peak two days prior to climbing Whitney, then drove 1500 miles home. Wow . . . what a marathon trip.

Back to climbing I guess.
Cheers,

Trip to Rainier (Julie Lilienkamp and Andy Vickers) 8/13/04 - 8/15/04. From Paradise to Muir is approx. 10,100 feet. Weather can change drastically along the snowfield - take precautionary measures when traveling (ie whiteouts, extreme fluctuation in temperature, etc.)

Climbing/hiking in the St. Joe River area near Avery, Idaho. To complete the loop, should plan 2-3 days(20+ mile round trip). This would be a fun run too, anyone interested? Cheers!!!

Cheers!

This is me on a backpacking trip to Scotchman Peak near Sandpoint, Idaho (the Selkirks). Photo taken by Corey Raivio "coreyr" -- this was an amazing area to climb. It is a "must do" for photographers and getting in shape for Alpine. Cheers!
