Looking into a sea of clouds from Gibraltar Rock. My favorite days are when it is cloudy and sometimes raining even in the city, and when you head up to the mountains, you get above it all. So Beautiful, I feel like I am in heaven or something looking down on the clouds. If the clouds weren't there we would be looking directly at downtown Santa Barbara. Photo by sbclimber.

This was a great route. This is sbclimber pulling around the roof onto the arete of this 5.9. I'm guessing 5.9 it is not in the book. It is on the east facing wall across from intersection rock.

Casey Cordi on his redpoint of "Clean and Jerk". This has to be one of the best routes in Real Hidden Valley. He cruised it with ease. Photo by sbclimber.

This is THE place to learn how to trad climb. Many 1-3 pitch routes from 5.4-5.8. Taken after my first trad lead ever. A huge storm just cleared up about 10 minutes earlier, (see profile pic) and now close to 100 degrees. Sooo beautiful. Photo by Chris Rice.

This is me, sbclimber, on "Pink Floyd", V4. This is the third variation I have managed to get on this problem thus far, by far the hardest (of the 3 I have done). One of my favorite boulder problems anywhere, great mantle top-out. Photo by Paul Rutledge.

Taken on the way home from Wheeler Gorge. You can see all the way to Point Conception, about 40 miles north of Santa Barbara and about 60 miles from where the photo was taken. Photo by sbclimber.

This is me (sbclimber) on top of the formation after just climbing all 3 pitches of "Ending Crack" (including the final 10a short pitch in the gully above) in the rain. This was my second trad lead and quite scary in the rain. see view from base of wall

I love this wall. It is in a great setting, as with everything in SB. A couple of fun routes on this face. This is sbclimber on Hazardous Waste, 5.10a. Photo by Chris Rice.

This is Robbie (sbclimber) on the Meilee traverse, going left to right, V3. It is a really fun problem, one of if not the coolest traverse I have ever done, in one of the most amazing settings ever, high in the Santa Ynez mountains. Photo by Catherine Heron.

I just happened to come across Kai-da-klimba (sorry for incorrect info earlier) last November, practicing his aiding. The Nose is a Santa Barbara classic, at 5.11a, but makes for a nice C1 route as well. Photo by sbclimber.
