The basalt columns of Reynisfjall form natural steps that make it very easy to climb up to where I was. Beyond that, the steps started getting slopey but I suspect that it's possible to get up to the grassy bit above, where all the puffins and gulls were nesting.

I don't know the name of this little lady but she represented Hong Kong for the bouldering finals of the Asian X-Games 2004 held here in Kuala Lumpur the day before this photo was taken. She was one of many international climbers trying out this unfinished boulder problem at the House of the infidels that day.
