A nice overhanging nose with a beautiful back drop of the river running through the centre of perth. Even had some canoeists drop by at the bottom of the climb for a quick chat. Photo take by Jodie a mate i met at a local backpackers

a nice leg hook to rest the forearms before pulling through the crux, either that or bailing and getting wet. didnt test the water on this attempt but have done on a few previous occasions

Nice start to the problem which required some adept footwork! Solved by finding a nice crack to foot jam to be able to reach round the corner for the heel hook.

a nice shot of the cliff face and the approach to the overhang. not the nicest fall from the top of the cliffs into the water but deep enough so it only stings a little if you get the enrty wrong!

A second problem along the overhang which could either be approached by traversing from the far side or climbing round below it.

Evan spent ages on this route putting gear in below the crux roof and even had time to place a cam half way along the roof! He did enjoy the fist jam to exit out of the roof!

A jammy VS! awesome to lead even if i did power up through the first 10 metres with only one piece of gear 2m off the ground as i knew i was better doing that than trying to rest and put some gear in in a nasty position!

A little polished and smeary at the start but a nice short lead with lots of nice cracks for hex's! Everyone knows that hexes are a climbers best friend!

A trickly little traverse. photo looks good but you dont see me falling and landing on my ass about 10 seconds after the photo was taken. wasn't a soft landing either!

Cory shows a bit more style and class than james solving this problem. all the moves are static not dynamic!

Its not every day you get to crank through a route underneath an elephant. bouldering an unmarked and ungraded route under the famous elephant boulder.
