Caught Alex mid-move. Unfortunately, that's not at least 40 characters.

Only at least the fifth time he's lead "First Lead", Richard is all smiles. Why? It's a beautiful day in the Fairbanks area, and we're all soon going to be dehydrated, out of water, and sunburned! What fun!

After tromping through the snow to the base of supercrack, and spending the rest of the day at Canyonlands, we were treated to this spectacular view driving back out. Now if only I could actually climb anything there... next time.

Adam pulls through the crux of Pocket Rocket. With a short crux right off the ground, the route offers fun, continuous crack climbing for the rest of the route. Photo by Al Luptak

Slacklining inside gets old very quickly. So, what better to do than set up a line out in the snow? Well, it turns out snow is pretty cold on bare feet. Crazy, huh?

After (what became) a scouting trip to the Biblical Fallacies wall, I spotted this wonderfully featured little boulder. Fun, easy stuff. I think getting down was harder than getting up.

Alicia after her (and my) first JTree climb. She's especially happy because:
A) She's not rappelling yet.
B) She's not stuck anymore by my poor rope management skills.
C) All of the Above.
If you picked C, you're Today's Big Winner!!!!!

Matt lead this after I backed off it (I know, backing off a 5.1, pretty pitiful, huh?) and Dora trailed a rope for us. Fun to make friends on a climb.

Not bringing shorts on this little excursion was not the brightest thing to do... I got a nice sunburn anyways!

As if we need any reminder, Adam's facial expression lets us know just how hard he is. Lucky for us, he's pulling through the last hard move.

A pretty good overview of main rock. The majority of the routes are on this face. I tried to photoshop out the lens flare, but decided it best to leave it in. Photo by Matt Walker.

Oliver makes his way into the chimney, in his tennis shoes no less. Not too bad for his first time, eh? Photo with Canon Powersho G2. (The photo was blurred to begin with, signifying motion. Or something like that...)

This is the view from Lower Grapefruit, between First Crag and Second Crag. The rocks on the nearest hill are Upper Grapefruit, with the largest being Falcon Rock.
