I went climbing at this wall in Kathmandu, Nepal. This is the guy who owns the gym. He is a sherpa and has been on several Everest expeditions.

This is the outdoor wall that they use here at the Himalaya Mountain Institute. They train here for many mountaineering expeditions, especially Everest.

This is Mt. Kangchenjunga taken from Singhik, Sikkim, which is actually a state in India. You are not actually allowed to climb to the actual summit of this mountain because it is sacred to the Hindus. One of their gods lives at the very top. This was taken also during the monsoon season. I was very lucky to see it come out of the clouds at 4 in the morning this morning.

This is a shot of Everest as we flew by it in an airplane. It was in August, the middle of the monsoon season, so just the top is sticking above the clouds.
