Just messing around on the Matanuska Glacier... Fall, 2003

This is a shot looking back down Michael Creek while walking up the creek toward the Jarvis Headwall. This was taken near the basin below the headwall. The Hayes Range can be seen in the background.

This is a picture of climbers headed toward the Jarvis Glacier at the head of Michael Creek. Up and over the Jarvis Headwall is the Jarvis Glacier, and on the other side of the glacier is Mt. Silvertip, which was our goal. However, we were unable to advance beyond the base of the headwall due to high winds.

This pic is of the toe of the Matanuska Glacier in early fall of 2003.

White Princess is a 9850' peak on the M'Ladies Branch of the Castner Glaciers.

This a shot of the summit pyramid of Triangle Peak, on the Castner Glacier, in the Delta Range of Alaska. This was take from a ridge quite a ways up on the climb...

This is March 21, 2004... we climbed the lower snow slopes of Triangle Peak unroped until the last couple of ridges, which were a bit steeper...

We summited Triangle Peak at about 1:30pm on the 21st of March. The skys were clear, and the view of Broken Glacier, The Castner Glacier, and the Alaska Range was breathtaking...

This was my first trad. lead climb. It's on an unnamed 5.4 crack at Lower Grapefruit Rocks, north of Fairbanks, Alaska.

Gotta love Alaska... It's cold and dark, and the only way to go is down... ;)
