During our trip to Acadia great pictures seemed to fall out of the camera

This is one of my first-ever climbing vacation in Acadia National Park.

This was august of 2005. We had perfect 75-degree weather every day and did nothing but hike, paddle, and climb (climb mostly). We finished the trip with the Cathedral route to the summit of Katahdin. In the background is Monument Cove and the road to Thunderhole.

I was belaying russell as we was sending a route at otter cliffs. I lowered him back down after he lead the climb to try to remove a stubborn cam.

My friend Ray climbing this summer in Otter Cliffs as Rahmin(sp?) belays. I was taking the picture leaning near the edge. You couldn't picture better weather for this area.

This is a shot of me climbing one of the easier routes at Otter Cliffs, Acadia National Park. Yes, I am a NOOB but learning as I go. Acadia has quite a few easy routes so it was perfect for a top-roper like me. Next year I hope to try a little trad!

Not sure of the route, but this is the best climbing environment I've ever been in. There's something to be said for climbing over the Atlantic!

I know you can't see my face, but I thought this was a cool photo with the chalk on the hands and the muscles bulging. All right, maybe not bulging, but protruding a little.

I'm pretty sure the route isn't accurate but this was a corner route that had a roof top to it and was located next to Rock Lobster. Panic early/smile later.

Somehow I had to put this under 'profile'. Fun climb that kicked my butt!

I looked up just in time to see my photographer for the day. My friend Jim came with my wife and I to Acadia and he agreed to get a lot of phots of us. Some are magazine shots, but I don't think they put 5.6's on covers.

Here I am starting up Overhanging corner (5.6). It was a fun climb with an awkward move for a 5.6. This climb marked the first time I have placed a large hex on lead. I don't really like them, but won't badmouth them again since that is the only thing pro that would fit at the top.

I am looking pretty serious in this pic. Chalking up looking at what pro is going to fit. This was a fun climb. This was supposed to be a warmup, but was the only lead I got in that day. I was happy, though toproping some harder stuff. I LOVE Otter Cliffs, man!

My first time on this really fun climb. I was a little intimidated because years ago my ex and I accidentally threw a line over the cliff and he couldn't make it up. It started to get dark and cold and I didn't know what to do. Looking back, I should have left him there! Har Har Har!

Yes, it's A Dare By The Sea! I can't emphasize how beautiful Otter Cliffs is. It's my favorite place in the world to climb. All you can hear is the roaring off the waves, song of the gulls and ding of the buoys. All this while enjoying a day of climbing.

My friend and I did a wonderful New England trip, stopping at Cathedral Ledge, Acadia, and Rumney, what a beutiful area, sure beats Jackson Falls

These routes are mostly belayed from the top but we arrived at low tide so we decided to lead em. Beautiful area, it is really strange getting the costal vibe while rock climbing though.
