Ice Pillar in OhioThis giant pillar (100+ ft) rarely ever forms and when it does it is usually only climbable for a week or so. These guys set up a TR on it in poor condition. We decided not to join them because of the garbage can size chunks falling off of it. The thing fell two days later.

The Key HoleThis is an edited picture of the Key Hole route at Whipps Ledges in Hinckley, OH. I could not take the whole route in one shot, so I took two then combinded them as you can tell.
This is one of the easier climbs at Hinckley.

The FlakeThis is John belaying and Phil climbing. It's the only good picture I got of the flake.
I made 3 climbs of the flake that day and had a blast doing so...Not a large route, but a fun one. Oh, I took the picture with an Olympus D-360L digital camera.

CoolPops on The Key HoleThis is me trying to decide what to do next. This is my first outdoor climb ever.
That's John you see belaying. He was a great help to me as a newbie. He went through all the setup with me explaining everything. I hope to find other climbers as nice to newbies as him and that will be a good judge of the sport.
