This is a belay ledge shared by Gunsight to South Peak and Conn East. It can get busy there sometimes!

So maybe, maybe not you decide, I think it's an awkward move off the ground and not-so-good finger and hand jams. I definitely think it's harder than Castor because of the lack of feet at teh start.

I had just lost my sunglasses on arrival of the summit. I didn't want to lose the ring I was about to use to propose with.

Lam didn't know I was about to propose. Thinking we were on the summit strictly for photos, she pauses for a panoramic. I sit in the background with a lump in my throat.

Lam comes over for what she believes to be innocent photos on the summit. I still have the ring hidden from her. Jim (Kubi) goofs off with the camera.

The entire proposal was hidden by the need for these photos on the summit of Seneca. Little did she know.....

I propose to Lam. She says yes immediately.

Lam accepted my proposal. Of course we have to kiss and hug afterwards.

After accepting she sat down to take it in. I did surprise her afterall!

Iffy weather, but no rain. I love road trips. Jesse and I topped out on the south peak sometime in the afternoon. It was my first time at Seneca, I had my first trad lead, and the climbing was amazing. Photo taken by Jesse Vernon.

This was my first multi-pitch climb. It was phenomenal. We finished Conn's East and I walked (crawled) across the summit to the rap station.
