At the base of the chief. One of the finest in Squamish. The photo was taken by my old buddy Andreas.

Ever since I saw Lynn Hill climb this crack in a Petzl video, I've wanted to climb it. This summer I finally got to. I did both pitches in one for an amazing long thin crack pitch.

My brother Perry took this shot of me. It was an onsight but as you can see I do not have the jamming thing down. Nonetheless it is a great climb. The second pitch has got the most awesome fingerlocks.

Here's a pic of Todd Helgeson on Backseat in Squamish, BC. This was taken by Libby Helgeson on my digital. We worked on this problem for two days while we were there over the memorial day weekend this year. What a classic!

Here I am resting above the second pitch on the Grand Wall, Squamish. Howe's Sound and the town is in the background. The views from the ledge are wonderful.

This is me (Adrian) jamming up the climb "Exasperator" 5.10a/c on the Grand Wall in Squamish.
The rain had made the rock wet that night, and smearing was difficult. Lucky for me the protection was excellent, and I was able to slot my fingers and shoes into the crack without falling. I led only the 5.10a pitch, and my partner finished up the strenuous 5.10c part.

This is me (Adrian), making the crux move on the 5.9 second pitch of Apron Strings (5.10b). After this mantle onto the ledge, it's clear sailing up a beautiful 5.6 zig-zag crack which leads to the long runout dykes below the steep headwall.
It's difficult to see my protection in all that dazzling white light, but you can still see my partner Wolfang enjoying the shade of that tree below me (orange shirt).

This is my climbing partner (Wolfang), on the first pitch of "Apron Strings" (5.10b) in Squamish. I can say that, unlike some of my other pix, this one is quite beautiful (grin). The black and white granite of Squamish is so dazzling that it's second only to the enjoyment of the frictioned climbing. Wolfang finished this pitch, but with some difficulty, as that crack gets mighty thin at the top!

You will find this boulder on the approach to the Grand Wall in Squamish. It must have taken a lot of time and effort to create this and stands as part of Squamish early history.

Taken from the "Classic Bivy" on Uncle Ben's(A2+, but we climbed it clean), after a nice day of aiding. In the background you can see the Dihedrals, the Bulletheads, the Papoose, Highway 99 and a bit of the Howe Sound. This pic was taken in the August 2
