Dave climbed stichter quits on a very windy day this march to record his first ever J-tree lead. He surprised everybody by making it to the top with that damn cowboy hat STILL on.

Upon descending I asked my partner "Hmm, I wonder if the Pope is still alive" only to find out the next day that he died that very day. strange....Great century plant blooms decorate the base of the "Pope's Crack"

Here's a picture of Hidetaka Suzuki leading Sole Fusion--one of the most "out there" pitches you will ever come across. It is a classic John Bachar sandbag 5.12a and starts on top of Swept Away. So, after the first move, you're already a couple hundred feet off the deck.

Forbidden Paradise - A great trad line to the right of stick to what. A worthy followup to Stick to What, much better line.
