Limited view-Scrambling through Egypt 3 SlotThe Darkened spots in the corners are a result of my point and shoot getting clogged with sand and the lens cover not fully opening. I didn't notice till later, but rather like the result. Great canyon!

Caving?...Extreme Stemming? No..CANYONEERING! The infamous Blue John CanyonI at first wanted to discard this image, but then fell in love with the blurry darkness of the whole thing. To me it captures the essence of deep, cold, dark canyoneering. A sense of urgency. Maybe I'm an idiot. Maybe I'm an addict. Either way, I'm a canyoneer!

Beautiful Desert SceneryWhile hiking a slot in the San Rafael Swell, I stopped behind the group to snap a shot. The ripples in the sand and the lines in the sandstone especially appealed to me. Taken with my Sony point and shoot digital.

self portrait, Upper Whittemore canyonThis is a self portrait I took on a solo trip up a remote peak to the east of Y Mountain(near Provo, Utah.) Done mostly at night by the full moon, I slept a few hours a couple hundred yards below summit before reaching the top for sunrise. A memorable trip, and right in my backyard!

Buildering The Arete in my Home TownI actually took this shot of myself on a timed exposure. A little scary at the top, but a fun builder problem nonetheless!

Rappel into the Golden CathedralThis rappel at the end of Neon Canyon goes straight through a pothole into the Golden Cathedral. Some of the most beautiful canyoneering I have ever done. I took this with a little digital point and shoot. We met a National Geographic Photographer there as we were coming down. Look for a much better version of this in one of the coming issues of National Geographic.

Beam Me Up!!!While hiking Pine Creek Canyon last June with a couple buddies, I noticed this single little beam of light making it's way down to the canyon floor, and snapped a shot.
