Great route, hard to find-200 Motels

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Great route, hard to find-200 Motels

My partner Rick, AKA trickster and I tried finding Rattlesnake Butress last weekend but we gave up after four hours. This day, five hours after we started we finally made it and it was worth it. Rattlesnake Canyon is the most interesting place in the Park as far as I'm concerned. The climb IS easier than the hike getting there, the crux for me was entering the chimney.

Winter wonderland in JT

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Winter wonderland in JT

My partner and I had a great day climbing on saturday Nov. 20th and we were too burnt out to set up the tents so we slept in the truck bed. Good thing we had good sleeping bags.

trickster followin' his bud to to the top

Average Rating = 3.50/5 trickster followin' his bud to to the top

My partner and I tackled the Southwest corner on a very cold and windy day. I did the lead because his fingers were numb, so I was able to take this awesome photo of him climbing the arete.

Pranaguy's first trad lead

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Pranaguy's first trad lead

New Years day, 2003. Hottest day of the year so far. It was my first time at Boxsprinsg and I ran into Matt. He was doing his first trad lead so I had to take a picture, Everyone should have a picture of themselves on their first trad lead. Nice job, Matt!

Early morning on Southwest Corner

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Early morning on Southwest Corner

My partner Rick and I were the first climers on Headstone Rock this cold, windy winter morning. We set up a belay anchor before starting the climb. I did slip a bit at the crux, which drew some gasps from the onlookers in the campground. I almost took my first hard fall, but I made it the rest of the way with no more incidents. This is me biting the rope just before clipping the third bolt. (photo taken by trickster)

Having fun on Double Dip

Average Rating = 3.67/5 Having fun on Double Dip

Rick, aka trickster, and I had an unbelievable day at Echo Rock on Dec. seventh. Beautiful weather and only saw maybe fifteen climbers that day. He snapped this photo of me on Double Dip. If you could see my face my smile stretched ear to ear. My favorite climbing day so far.
