This was taken of me by 23climber, on the morning of one of our many bail-offs, after a restful night on Dinner Ledge.

The grins were short lived as Jake steps up for his first real aid experience. The smile disappeared as the crack moved into an overhung corner, good times for a first timer.

Behold the nightlife of Bishop in all of its glory and splendor. You guessed it - nothing better to do than go climbing even if it is only 40 degrees out.

I don't think I can say how greatful I am to everyone that is willing to spend their time, energy and money rebolting. For those who don't pay attention to what they clip, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Jake Nelson, tries his hardest to hurry up Expresso (5.12a) so he can get his shoes back off. Its a great finger crack that is way more fun than Jake is making it look.

Belaying from the cold spring shadows on the far left 5.11c hand to finger crack on Little Egypt. The climbing, the views, and the seclusion of Little Egypt make this a great place to spend a day in Bishop.

Claire heads up Gorgeous Arete (5.10a) but gets distracted by the bolt on the 11 next door. She eventually headed back around the arete and finished up the climb.

All it took was the realization of how good the picture would look if he pulled it off to get Jake to start trying Black Magic (V5). One or two moves before this everyone's heart skipped a beat when he knocked a small footchip off, barn-dooring and nearly comming off. Not quite sure what the spotters thought they were going to do..certainly not catch him.

I always love spring in California when the poppies bloom all along the roads and highways.

Saw this in the rearview mirror on my way past the Buttermilks heading up to Little Egypt, and though it looked kinda cool.

Brian from S.D.(formerly of sunrise) showing off his skills with a flash of Black Magic(V5) on the Black Magic boulder. This is an impressive climb on a very cool boulder witha great view. If I remember correctly it is one of very few boulder problems with a grit rating.
