A shot of my husband bouldering around the bottom of the cliff... or at least his fingers. Texture, texture, texture.

Mark leading in the mountains

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Mark leading in the mountains

This is a shot I took of my hubby leading up a fun route at The Monestary on a cool day last April. That's Long's Peak and Mt. Meeker in the background. Some people say the site needs more pictures of people with helmets, so I'm trying to add to that number. I'm not entirely sure what route this is, but the photo-submitter wouldn't let me proceed without directly linking to a route. So I guessed. Nikon D70, 1/400s f/10.0 at 38.0mm, WB Auto

Mark cuts loose on #1 Super Guy (5.11a)

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Mark cuts loose on #1 Super Guy (5.11a)

This is a shot of my husband leading this awesome roof. He cut loose on the dyno to the corner and then campused the moves above. Awesome. I had this shot on my website for a month or so now, and it's gotten so many views, I thought I'd add it here for everybody else. :-)

Warm up

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Warm up

Yes, it's definately been done before. I liked the ps-d sequence shots on this web, I had the pictures and I have photoshop, so I thought I'd give it a try. This is my husband warming up on a 5.9 slab on walstreet. Please give feedback and Photoshop tips! I'm always looking to learn...

Lumpy Ridge

Average Rating = 3.43/5 Lumpy Ridge

Took this shot as we were hiking out from the Pear Buttress in the late afternoon. After a warm but windy March day, the weather was changing and a snow storm was blowing in.

Michah Climbs

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Michah Climbs

So, one afternoon with bad mojo floating about, my husband and I found ourselves up in Estes Park, 2 hours from home, and without a harness or belay device for him. Even with his offer to tie a swiss seat and belay with a munter, I decided we should stay on the ground and watch other people for a little while. This is Michah, whom we met at the climb, on Shaking the Pope's Hand.

After Work Fun

Average Rating = 3.00/5 After Work Fun

Yesterday evening Mark and I spent an hour or so bouldering at the Piano Boulders. Beautiful places like this make you wonder why anybody ever built an indoor gym in Colorado.

Climbers at Penitente

Average Rating = 3.57/5 Climbers at Penitente

This is my husband, Mark, on the awesome 11a stem problem Not My Cross to Bear, and another climber on the hard-core 12d A Virgin No More. Penitente was a truely beautiful place to climb.

Rappelling Cracked Canyon

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Rappelling Cracked Canyon

Around the corner from Ophir Wall is Cracked Cayon. This a shot of my husband, Mark, rappelling down after our climb. The hike up to this canyon was the scariest one we have ever done. Mark sent a granate boulder the size of an engine block tumbling down the slope towards me at one point. BE CAREFUL!

Life in the City

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Life in the City

This is my husband reracking after we climbed Easy Corner (5.5 - but lots of fun) on the Lower Breadloaves. This shot is looking south towards the rest of the city, but you can see our little yellow SUV parked at our campsite in the bottom left-hand corner. The camping at the City was great, we got up, walked across the street, and climbed all day!!

Outdoorsie goes A.W.O.L.

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Outdoorsie goes A.W.O.L.

This is a shot of me starting the classic 10c A.W.O.L. The climb was intimidating for my husband and I because it was overhung and the pockets looked sparse, but they were bomber, and the route was sooooo much fun!

Hubby and Me

Average Rating = 3.33/5 Hubby and Me

This is my husband and I after finishing Bedtime for Bonzo the first time. This was our first multipitch trad climb without a friend guiding, and we were really proud of it. The climb is fun and scarey and exposed, and the top out is incredible. I know why this one is considered such a classsic!!

Curtain Call (5.10c)

Average Rating = 3.55/5 Curtain Call (5.10c)

This route has to be my new favoriate at the Red. The begining was easy, but the top was *super technical* and lots of fun. Mark didn't enjoy the lead, he said it was scary and hard. Eh, tall people don't appreciate sublty.

Curtain Call - Exposed

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Curtain Call - Exposed

The very top bit of this climb gets a decent view. You can look out at the wall winding along the valley behind you. Didn't get all that in this pic, but you can see some air.

My first outdoor complete lead

Average Rating = 3.14/5 My first outdoor complete lead

Ah, the easiest sport climb *ever*. This little boulder is a classic "first lead" confidance builder. Big pockets, a slight slabbiness, and 7 bolts on a 25ft climb!

Mark leads another climb

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Mark leads another climb

Seems like I have a lot of pictures of my fiance leading climbs. Well, at least he's useful. :) This was a 10 on Cracker Jack Cliffs, I'm not sure of the name. I know it's a huge butt shot, but I like the texture of the rocks against the sky.

Mark on lead

Average Rating = 2.88/5 Mark on lead

This is Mark leading a climb which I think was Jeff's Bunny Hop. I crawled out on a little shelf and got some fun pics of him that make the climb look more exposed than it was. The area was gorgious though. There aren't many places around where every climb ends in a beautiful view of the lake.

Cruisin'

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Cruisin'

This is a shot of Mark leading Moon Pie Delux. I could be wrong of course. He climbs like it's the easiest thing in the world, just floats up the wall.

High Balling

Average Rating = 3.00/5 High Balling

This is a shot of my brother, TJ, working his way up the main crack of Yosemite slab. It was too high for me to try. I just took pictures.
