Panoramic of the summit of Estrellita

Average Rating = 4.06/5 Panoramic of the summit of Estrellita

Jimmy investigates the summit register on top of Estrellita in El Potrero Chico, Mexico. We had a great time zipping up the climb in a few hours taking the 5.11 variations. The palm tree is an especially nice touch.

home climbing wall, C.S. TX

Average Rating = 2.80/5 home climbing wall, C.S. TX

This is the home wall I built in my living room in College Station, TX. It is coming down, so if you want some or all of it, contact me. It is made of scrounged wood. The holds are mostly wood and limestone and screwed on. There are a few commercial and home molded holds. Lots of good history with this thing, and I am sad to see it go. ok, it isn't my rack, but there wasn't a category for this, and it tried to make me link it to the rte database when I tried something else. edited... RIP wall, Feb, 2006. The holds and some of the wood went to someone else, so hopefully someone is cranking on them somewhere.

Pancaketoms on savannah in the Happys

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Pancaketoms on savannah in the Happys

I combined a couple of photos to show the sequence on this excellent problem at the Happy Boulders. Sometimes it flows so easily, and others it seems like a horrid sandbag. Jesse took the photos, but I set up the camera on a tripod.

I don't know the ratings of the stuff here. I didn't have a spotter and was by myself, so I set the timer on my camera and climbed as fast as I could.

Pancaketom bouldering at Buffalo park.

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Pancaketom bouldering at Buffalo park.

I wanted to try to make one of those pictures with the climber in color and the rock black and white. I should have used a more colorful picture. I don't know what the problems or the ratings are here, it was a case of set the timer and jump on the rock.
