Carol taking the ride on Lickety Split

Average Rating = 3.44/5 Carol taking the ride on Lickety Split

This was actually about a 15' fall on a 30' route, she fell from the clip stance for the bolt in the left of the fram. The consequences of not making each clip could be serious without a solid belay, which she thankfully had.

Enjoying an unknown (to me) 12c, between Vagabond and Priveleg... sport climbing doesn't get any better than this.

Lynn Hill Memorial Face Problem (V4)

Average Rating = 3.93/5 Lynn Hill Memorial Face Problem (V4)

Carol sending the highball heartstopper LHMFP at jtree. Not terribly difficult moves but the no hands highstep to topout will leave you with butterflies in the stomach for a good while.

Carol making Pigpen look easy

Average Rating = 3.78/5 Carol making Pigpen look easy

Carol cruising through the roof on Pigpen (aka Bachar Cracker of the Desert). Guidebooks call Bachar Cracker (Yosemite) V4 and this problem V3, but I'd call this V4 and Bachar Cracker V3. Crux on this one is actually around the lip with funky leaning finger stacks and an awkward tight hands top out.

Sunrise on the summit plateau, Mururata

Average Rating = 4.00/5 Sunrise on the summit plateau, Mururata

Sunrise caught us at 18,600 feet or so. No trace of prior passage anywhere on the mountain, just untracked snow for miles. The whiteout cleared long enough to capture a couple shots of our long slog to the summit in 15" of fresh snow.
