Chief Mountain has been a cornerstone of the prairies and the Rockies bordering on Canada and the USA.

Dave is starting up MacDuff, it starts 10 ft below the photo. I am spoting on top of a boulder till he clips the first bolt.

This crack is rated at a 5.9, it is bolted as there is no natural protection in the crack. You feel off balance as it leans heavily to the right.

Summit photo on Mt. Victoria in the fall of 2002. We followed the main route up the south east buttress.

Just another day on the ice. I'm just about to finish the final rap on Quick and Dirty. Photo is a little deceiving as I am still a 100 ft in the air.

Dave leading on French Kiss on the same soft conditions. There was good pro to be found but equally as much bad pro. Lots of run outs this day. French Kiss usually goes at WI3 but the right column goes at WI6.

Dave is rapping the first pitch of quick and dirty in waterton. After I rapped I quickly scurried up to the right to get a good angle. As you can see to the back the water was really running off

French Kiss is just to the left of Quick and Dirty. Again the day that I shot this the ice was soft and slushy. Bombs were dropping off the top all day from the melting. It usually goes at around WI3. Column on the right side runs WI5+ to 6.

This is a profile shot of Quick and Dirty just after we climbed it. The ice was pretty soft with poor pro due to the couple inches of slush. It is roughly 65 meters for the first two pitches and a short pitch to walk off. It runs at about WI3 to WI 4 depending on conditions

This is a good view of Jensens Main. It is pretty short but fun to warm up on. Jill is on camera, dave on belay, and I finally got to do a route.

Another photo of Jensen. Dave toping out on the Main route. I'm taking the photo on this one. The lip varies from year to year, this year isn't that good as the ice is pretty thin.
