Scott Miller on SnowfieldAugust 10, 2005. Scott Miller on summit push on 2nd day of the 2-day trip. This was our crossing of the first snowfield, just above the Queest-Alb Glacier. It was fairly steep, but the quantity of climbers created a sort of a shelf one could walk across. Beautiful weather above the clouds...it's amazing how remote and alpine the Cascades can feel above 6000 feet. Photo by Craig Miller.

Me on the south summitIffy weather, but no rain. I love road trips. Jesse and I topped out on the south peak sometime in the afternoon. It was my first time at Seneca, I had my first trad lead, and the climbing was amazing.

Looking happy at the topCraig Miller at the lookout summit of the South Peak of the Three Fingers. An easy and sunny approach day led us to camping, but the low clouds on the second day obscured all but the peaks of mountains. Awesome views in all directions.

Half way up!Scott Miller on 6/28/05 at the top of the first pitch of Diagonal Direct on the Martian Slab. 2nd pitch is decently protected, though steep with 15 foot runouts. First pitch had 40 foot runouts and was very scary for Kira, who led the first pitch. Photo by Craig Miller

Evening RappelCraig Miller on his first ever rappel at Barney's Rubble in Leavenworth, WA on 5/28/05. The day was hot, but the evening hours were very comfortable for climbing, and start very early in the day, considering the prominent hills and mountains all surrounding Icicle Canyon.

Glacier at SunsetThis photo was taken from the train, right at sunset, passing through east Glacier National Park. It's too bad it didn't stay light for another hour or so.

Brian topping outBrian wears his helmet all the time. Maybe it was just because I was above, trying not to kick tons of leaves and twigs on him.

Tatoosh RangeThis is a panorama of the Tatoosh Range. The photo was taken from the Paradise base camp/visitors center on Mt. Ranier on March 8, 2005. This winter had very little snow resulting in low snow cover (Note elevation = 6500 feet)

Crux LiebackThis is a photo of Scott Miller getting in one last climb on a warm winter day at the crux of the climb. You can't see it in the picture, but there is snow all over the ground--made the first few feet of the climb difficult b/c of slippery feet! Photo taken by John Davin.
