Sunrise over the Sierras

Average Rating = 2.50/5 Sunrise over the Sierras

We were leaving the hotsprings between Bishop and Lee Vining after a night of soaking and watching the full moon. My camera batteries were frozen, and I only got one shot out of them. You can see the boardwalk running from the parking area to the pools.

Sunset Smokies

Average Rating = 3.50/5 Sunset Smokies

The Smokies prove their name at Sunset. Photo from top of Whitesides, High Point North Carolina. It's about an hour hike to the summit at 4k some-odd feet. We in Georgia are desperate for altitude. Also, we brought a nice picnic, some sandwiches, orange juice, a bottle of Merlot, and watched the sun go down. The hike down in the dark was a terrible idea, but nothing too bad came of it.
