Sunrise over the SierrasWe were leaving the hotsprings between Bishop and Lee Vining after a night of soaking and watching the full moon. My camera batteries were frozen, and I only got one shot out of them. You can see the boardwalk running from the parking area to the pools.

Sunset SmokiesThe Smokies prove their name at Sunset. Photo from top of Whitesides, High Point North Carolina. It's about an hour hike to the summit at 4k some-odd feet.
We in Georgia are desperate for altitude.
Also, we brought a nice picnic, some sandwiches, orange juice, a bottle of Merlot, and watched the sun go down.
The hike down in the dark was a terrible idea, but nothing too bad came of it.
