Description:

As you arrive at Scorched earth, the trail hits the wall right in front of a pillar that has two routes on it. This route is the bolted line on the left. Climb easy ledges to the first bolt then onto a blank looking face. use a good finger crack to get to a small ramp underneath a roof. There are some tricky moves to get up on there, then traverse right under the roof to an old anchor. You can lower here, but there is about 15 more feet of fun climbing to another set of chains. The Climbs of SW Montana puts this at 11d which is a stretch. I'd give it 11a, and most people like to downgrade it even more. A great solid route.

3 out of 5 stars under the roof

heady... don't know but putting my foot less than an inch from my draw makes me kinda think hard about that foot

3 out of 5 stars Fun warm up

Well bolted, with a thoughtful traverse under the roof. None of the holds broke off while climbing, which is a first for this area.

5 out of 5 stars Great

A really fun route! Very solid rock...the crux is definitely traversing under the roof.
