Description:

"The Dark Knight Rises" is a fantastic problem on the right erete of a a huge freestanding limestone boulder. The majority of the problem is truly a V1 but the top out gets thin no matter how you approach it making the whole thing a V2. The landing is flat and safe for a fall and the walk off is easy. The boulders occur about a quarter mile outside of the town of Philippi WV just up the hill from the covered bridge near a grouping of trailer homes. The problem is named in honor of my brother-in-law Michael Fonte who passed away suddenly last week. I wish we had more years ahead of us. You will be forever missed bro!
