Description:

A very fun route that sounds more intimidating than what it really is. Begin this climb by a tree and a black knob. Traverse right until the wide crack comes into view. Then head straight up for two pitches. The OW is actually not climbed. Climb the highly featured face around the crack and use the crack for pro. Make sure you stop and look at the old oil bottle that was used to dislodge a poor climbers knee from the crack. Story has it the climber got stuck and his partner had to run up to the ranger station to get help. The belayer then ran back to the climb to help put the oil on the knee to get it unstuck.

5 out of 5 stars Loved it.

Followed Tim for two fantastic pitches. I just didn't manage to pull the roof without a little assistance from Tim belaying from the top.

beautiful route. 1st p is interesting traverse to crack 2nd pitch is visually stunning! 1 or 2 4 cams and a 4.5 or 5 should sew it up pretty good. 3rd p takes lots of small wires up sweet corner to roof. don't get your rope hung up like I did pulling the roof!
