Description:

No, the route is not named "Right of Ebony". It's just to the right of a 5.7 named Ebony, which ascends a prominent black streak. It is mentioned, but not named in the guidebook. Dave Daly told me that it was called something like "Little Black Sambo", which didn't sound like a nice name!

Fairly vertical climbing up a narrowing crack. A single (pointless, IMO) bolt is placed about 8 feet below the anchor. Pointless because I was easily able to slot medium nuts just above and below the bolt.

My first 5.8 lead. Also my first use of cams. Jeez, they make trad climbing almost as well-protected as sport climbing. At least here they did.
