Description:

Banana Belt Area between Rim Job & Monsters of Rock. Killer, long 5.9, starts chimney, then overhung stemming, then long cool face. Lower the leader to the anchor for Monsters of Rock, belay from there, then rap off that climb when done (or TR it!). Need 2 ropes to TR from ground (115' from ledge, 140' from ground).

This route is okay. The chimney moves down low are cool, and some interesting foot-intensive traverse moves on the face above keep it interesting for sure.

3 out of 5 stars Didn't think it was as good as the book said...

Probably a lot more fun for a beginning leader just breaking into the grade, as the climbing eases considerably after the bulge. Okay for a warm up or if your waiting for another route at the belt. FWIW, with my 60m, my belayer(standing on the ledge) was just able to lower me to the ledge, maybe my ropes a meter or two longer though. TIE A KNOT IN THE END!!!
