Description:

This traverse is used to avoid the 5.9 groove pitch on Spring Fever. If using this pitch, you'll have a much more enjoyable "fun in the sun" ascent of Spring Fever. Climb the 1st pitch of the S-Direct, an awesome pitch in its own right. Travese left (west) from the anchors on top of the 1st pitch of S-Direct. This is directly left (west) of the anchors. Sling a chicken head, then climb up to the small crack under the roof. Place a tiny t.c.u., then join Spring Fever. We set a belay about 40' Spring Fever at a roped up bush/tree. First ascent (I think?) T Philips and T Anderson. 2002
