Description:
Easiest route in the lower S-Town wall. Upper third moves through steep rock that looks and feels somewhat friable but given the popularity of this often left roped warmup, rare has rock failed. Optional and very difficult roof finish.Roof finish (called Pilot's License): Can be done as a separate, second pitch at 10a. 3 bolts to shuts. Lower off and belay the second from the ground. The entire "2-pitch" route (roof and all) goes easily in one pitch with double ropes (or single rope with some bolts clipped long).

Man I miss Sauratown! This climb totally rocks! Great exposure, excellent sun for cooler months, very tall, with an exceptionally pumpy and awkward roof finish at 10a. Seconded the first pitch, then lead the roof.

Sauratown classic in the Beach Area. Often there is a wait, if not, dont skip it! This climb is also fairly long though the views behind are stellar!

Nice warm-up for Sauratown. First bolt is a bit high for my taste, but its easy to find a piece that will go in the crack below the bolt.

Done it 4-5 times now, but still will not do it on lead: 3 bolts and an old piton, perhaps 1-2 small cams possible.
