Description:
Hike up the Hanes Creek Valley or drop down from the Grouse Ski Area until you're at the base of a large arete/buttress that drops down from the summit of the Camel. Most of the route goes at 3rd-4th class, but toward the top there are a few pitches with difficulty up to 5.10a. Alpine rating of 5.10a Dificile

I had a busy summer solstice in 2001. After climbing Diedre on the night of the 21st, I did the approach into Crown on the 22nd and did the route on the 23rd. Justin and I had a running belay on the 4th class pitches, but Karl and Mel belayed every pitch. This meant that we had an unpleasant scramble down in the dark. Beautiful sunset from the top though. Great route!
