4 out of 5 stars First-Second Pitch to Snakes Head

Climbed part of this as our 1-2nd pitch to reach Snake Head. Fun route, but as one other said, there is a "go for it" move at a lip above some cactus! The lat takes a big tri-cam though.

5 out of 5 stars BEAUTIFUL!!!

Probably the most unique features at quartz. So fun to climb from the ground up, then link up with the other 200 feet of PF and Snakeshead. My favorite Solo line

5 out of 5 stars NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE

Finally got around to starting this baby from the ground. Think we top-roped it once after leading the crack out to the left, several years ago with the wife. What a unique formation! I swear, Quartz has everything. This is a great one. A great solo, and man, is it all there! 5.8 is about right, as you do actually have to "go for it" at the one steep section, about 20 feet off the deck, to make the lip . . . but you've got very good hands to rely on and after that one move, it's all cruiser from there. I guess there's maybe some 5.7 on the way up to Snake's head, and you have to be somewhat circumspect in choosing your line, but man is it fun. Looking forward to doing it often.
