Description:

Classic Erie climb. One of the only Trad Multi-Pitch on the hill. Pitch 1: Easy 5.6 on right-facing corner to short slab, then anchors. Pitch 2: Climb easy face up and right to ledge below overhang. Runout but easy. Crux is the overhang above the ledge. Above overhang is a large ledge with mostly dead tree and anchors. Pitch 3 (Var 1): Climb out onto right end of tree limb and climb face to top. Pitch 3 (Var 2): Easy scramble up gully to top. Dirty and loose. Pitch 3 (Var 3): Climb 2nd pitch of ON EAGLES WINGS 5.10a sport route on face to top.

4 out of 5 stars another pleasant surprise

Yet another Erie surprise. This route was way more fun than I thought it would be. Be careful with the loose block immediately off the first ledge. Other than that piece the route was pretty solid.

4 out of 5 stars Multi-Pitch Trad Training

Time to do some multi-pitch trad training for 2 of my cohorts to gear up for a future trip to Leavenworth. One had never climbed real rock, the other is learning about trad climbing. PG-13 rating since the 2nd pitch can be a little scarce for pro.

4 out of 5 stars Fun route

Can't remember the exact date but did this route quite a while ago. First pitch is a fun one with the open book. Second pitch was easy slab. For the third pitch we climbed on eagles wings (5.10a)

0 out of 5 stars Ascent Note

I did it twice today (long story!). For some variation to make it a little harder, climb the first pitch of ZIG ZAG, then go a little left, use the 2 bolts on the face from ON EAGLES WINGS to the overhang on UNDERWORLD and slimb UNDERWORLD to the ledge. For Pitch 3, do the 3rd Variation.
