Description:
Crack system just right around the corner from the righthand wall of the Rusty Bong dihedral. Either go up R and then back L onto the slab, OR straight up the short gently overhanging crack from the ground (5.8+). Follow the crack up, then L on a delicate face traverse to the L-leaning crack sporting several fixed pins (2 variations in this section, both somewhat strenuous) & up to a ledge. Hensley's '91 R&I miniguide says it's 5.7 - and it is 'Old School' 5.7. Worthy route!Descent Options:
Exit to the very top off to climber's R through a break in the upper wall to reach the Ridge Trail.
