Description:
Off-width grunt fest with no bolts (of course). Make sure you've had your Wheaties, bring big gear, and remeber that good off-width technique means inching up slowly with patience. Gets a little easier above the shelf.

Who needs Pro anyways?
Got the lead on this thing with two #6's before a 25 foot run out to a smaller cam placement toward the top of Cave City's chimney. Made for a pretty crazy first 5.9 trad lead!

Big Crack = Big Pro
My friend and I tackled this monster this past weekend, had do bail on lead(not me) due to lack of right gear. We then proceeded to set up a TR and were eaten alive for several hours. This crack is AWESOME and I would recommend it to anyone.....good luck with the lead though.

Ascent Note
I've read about how scary off-widths can be. Now I know why. We dropped a TR and did the climb, losing some skin in the process. While I hung safely on the TR, I tried to imagine setting pro--I don't think I'd ever put this lead on my tick list, but anybody who does has my respect and admiration.

Ascent Note
Got it clean on TR after a few tries over the previous years. Felt good to do it, but man was it dirty. I don't think many people are climbing OW in SO ILL.
