Ascent Notes for: Fish Story - 5.10a Average Rating : 4.00/5

Maybe I was tired b/c this was at the end of the day, but this route felt a little headier than some of the other nearby 10as. Part of this might be due to the fact that it looks a little runout at one point b/c of a bolt you can't see until you are right on it (it's over the lip of the small ledge about halfway up). I was a little unnerved so I clipped a bolt on the route just to the left before I found the hidden one. The route felt a bit more tenuous in general and the crack near the top required a little handjamming to get through it. I blew my onsight by asking to sit on a bolt while I sorted out the handjam - it just didn't feel too secure initially, but after I took a breather it wasn't too bad. Pretty close to the grade, but perhaps still a little soft compared to other areas.

Still, it got the heart rate up a bit, is pretty well protected, and is worth a visit.
