This was a great climb, but the roof was very difficult for me. It made me realize how much I need to develop my crack climbing technique. 4 inch protection is much larger than what you actually need.

Top roped with extension, used hex to protect roof move.

The roof was a little bit intimidating, but after placing two pieces (being extra cautious) the move passed it was not difficult. Awesome climb.

Despite the 5.7 rating - I was a bit intimidated to lead this due to the roof looking a bit imposing. The roof is actually quite manageable - and everything protects well. I didn't use anything large (Despite the book saying pro to 5 inches) - I think my largest piece was a C4 #2 right on the roof section. Pair of bolts and chains to rap off from the top.

Really fun climb. Gets slightly more challenging after the tree.

My first outdoor lead. Great place to learn, as your belayer sits in the shade of a tree.

Intimidating roof, but nice jugs and stemming makes it an easy 5.7. A classic!
