My first outdoor climb
I'd been training in the gym for about a year and half before I made my first journey outdoors to Pinnacles. Portent was a beautiful climb -- the start was a bit hefty, but the moves were solid and safe all throughout. The view from the top was astounding!

My daughters first outside climb...
It was a beautiful day! It was a little windy, but we were protected by the wind. I lead and my daughter cleaned. I used two cams in the crack before bolted section. My daughter had a great time! We'll be coming back this weekend!

excellent
Very nice climb. Slightly runout (4 bolts in the last 80+ ft), but very easy climbing with fantastic exposure. Did this as 2 "pitches" if you can call the first one a pitch - it's about 20 ft with a 5.7 move off the ground, with at least 2 good gear placements (I used a #2 and a .4 camalot, for practice). After that, it's bolts every 18-20 ft or so - use a long runner on the 3rd bolt. The runout section everyone mentions above the last bolt is over 20 ft, but it's 5.4, maybe. The best part of this route is after the 3rd bolt where you traverse (on very big holds) for 2-3 moves onto a vertical face above 70 feet of nothingness - looking down is definitely worth it!
