Short easy crack takes good pro. Agreement of the party was 5.1 is sandbagging, but only a couple of moves are 5.3.

Shade in morning, weird traverse to the left to downclimb.

First lead with out my mentor. Super easy with good placements. Go up and over the buldge to add some spice to this route. Strange how diffrent leading a 5.1 is from following 5.10's I can't wait to progress.

This crack seemed harder than the very easy bolted face to the left.

My first trad lead since October. Used several hexes on the lower portion. Ran out the 4th class top section. I couldn't mantel or slide between the two boulder on the very top because of all the gear on me so I traversed to the left then went back over the top to the crack I was going to set up the anchor in. Very awkward way to do it.

good route for beginning trad climbers

This was my first full-on crack climb while on lead. It was a great time but it took me too long to climb it. I had great fun. The downclimb was an epic of sorts. I decided to bail rather than downclimb because I just didn't feel comfortable hopping over a gorge to a downsloping ledge. The other option was downclimbing 5.6 - so in two pieces went and we bailed off.
