The crux is at the X and i would suggest setting some sort of protection in the X. I set a size 5 cam in the X. Great climb and wonderful view of the reservoir!

This is one great climb, 3 crux moves. The first time I lead it I got off route exiting the 5.9 crack, I went way too far right. About 30' out from my cam, I realized that the bolt I was looking for was at foot level 20' to my left and 10' above my cam. Pinnacles is known for loose blocks. I pulled several fot ball sized blocks before I go to the bolt. The second time went much better.
