A crazy time on this puppy. The wind was howling and almost pushed me off in a couple spots. Couldn't have picked a worse time. A freaking fantastic line with sweet moves through the face. I thought the crux was pulling onto the headwall.

Redpoint at last! Either my 3rd or 4th lead of this excellent route, far from my last.

10/3/06: Well I finally hopped on the lead but I ain't one of the "Good Guys" yet. First route of the day, guess my feet weren't quite sticking yet . . . greased above the second bolt (never had trouble there, before) and a slow time getting latched onto the wall, but the steep part went pretty well. Well, I kept my head, anyway. I made some pretty "interesting" choices out of the many available, leaving Chris to wonder how I got in some of the precarious spots up there . . . but my head seemed to be screwed on straight, anyway, so I got up, up, up. Looking forward to another shot.

(old notes:) real crux for me was getting started on the headwall, kept greasing on the slick transition there . . . finally found purchase for both hands at once and got on up there - nice mantels up above!

sweet.

Just following berkly's redpoint, though, and not w/o falls. It's calling me to lead it though!

Great route sustained 10+ climbing the whole way. A 10c slab crux leads up to the featured headwall where the climbing gets vertical and exciting. Well protected and fun. Pulled the redpoint at the fall gathering. Muy excellante. Could be my favorite route at quartz.
