The start is a bit tricky but after that its a fun crack climb.

Fun way to set up this route for top rope is to lead "good intentions" and set up belay anchor for yur partner on the bolts for "left up" then re-equalize the anchor and rap down to top rope "Left up" kinda like a beginers intro to multi pitchin

I pretty certain the first 15 feet is like 5.8+ or even 5.9 make sure your belayer is a good spotter cause holding onto the polished holds befor your first pro placement aint easy

The published rating must be the weighted average - the first move is bordering 5.9 and the rest of the route is a hardly more than a 5.4 monkey scramble to the ledge.

Tricky start up to the first gear placement.

Climbed the crack when wet. The beginning is the crux with some severely polished holds. Fun climb. Pad the boulder at the bottom to avoid a broken ankle if you pop off.

This is an awsome crack. The beginning is the toughest part and I have found that a #1 BD cam is the best first piece to place in the finger pocket. After that every thing is smooth sailing. Great view at the bolts. Make sure your rope is long enough.

Lead this route on exam day of SPI. I passed!
