Ascent Notes for: Grizzabella - 5.7 Average Rating : 4.00/5

This was my second free solo and a lot easier than the first one (Skimbleshanks). I cruised up this to the cool anchor position in the dihedral. Brought a rope on my back and rappelled down.

Guide book has this as a 5.6 which is probably more accurate. A bit easier than other 5.7's I've done. One spot is a little smeary and requires you to stand without any hand holds which some may consider a 5.7 move, but the pitch of the rock makes it easy enough that I would leave it as a 5.6. This was my second lead and a lot easier than my first lead on a 5.7 at Table Mountain.

Pretty cool. It's harder than 5.7 if you climb it without a left foot though. But it does make for some cool moves, including fun heel hook for the one-footed crux.

One tricky part right before the end, but other than that, it was a good climb.

Second route ever and bustinmins and I did it together. The most intimidating part was belaying him. Rappelled down - lots of firsts today!

Thanks to the climbers that let me jump on this route.
