Fun climb, but there is ledge fall potential on the harder moves in the second half of the climb.

Very easy. Lots of big ledges. One or two "hard" moves before the finish. Good view. Bolts at top. 5.4?

Fun warm up run, great for new climbers. gets them the feeling of exposure and offers an easy build up to the more difficult top 1/3rd of the climb

A perfect experience for a first climb. Easy and comfortable at first, becomes more challenging and exposed on the arrete on the top third of the climb. Located in Peterskill.

Brought one new climber to this route and another one on his second climb.

I've been teaching a couple friend to climb and using this route as the entry to their stuff. Set up a TR and put them on it. I've done a few runs on the route this and a few weeks ago and find it still quite a nice one, as you have the options for finishes, all at the 5.6.

It's good, I think, for a person's first time out as it begins so easily, with a super safe landing. Straightforward, you can see the person the entire time. And the top gives them some real challenges, and also a taste of exposure if the go on the arete/left face.

Good for teaching belay too, as there's a tree to anchor them too, and clean base for cluster of people, and the fact they can see their climber the entire time.
