Good climbing, ended up passing another party before it started raining. Not a good idea to exit onto the basin above, very likely to knock off rocks.

We always start on LC on our annual trip to EPC. This year was no exception. We both felt great, no nerves, just pure climbing fun. Better to lower off of P3 and TR your second; the belay at P3 is pretty crappy for two people.

Three pitches of climbing fun. I have to say, I was nervous, it's been a LONG time since I had to smear! So used to gunks horizontals. Three pitches later, it was feeling good. The approach to this climb has changed dramatically due to the hurricane and possibly the rock fall. It's actually easier, but, you do have to do a little scrambling. Also, there is a lot of plant life on the wall, you have to climb through it and around it.

It's always fun. We did the last pitch twice so that Mitch could get in an equal number of leads.

We always do Las Chimuelas as our first climb, it's a tradition born out of an earlier time when that climb represented the apex of our climbing ability.

Figured this would be a good test route the morning after I took a 25 foot whipper and sprained my ankle on Quick Draw McGraw - proved to be a great warm-up and amazingly enough, the ankle didn't really bother me. I led the 2nd pitch and ShockSLL led the 1st and 3rd

A pretty fun climb. Watch out for loose rock; on the last pitch a foothold broke off on me that was about the size of someones head. The last 5 feet to the rap rings are real slabby.
