bit thuggish, good route

one of my early 5.10's. that start took me quite a while to digest

Linked to the top with Conn's East & Orange Aid. Castor seemed harder than any other 5.10 that I did at Seneca and much more difficult than its neighboring route, Pollux, maybe it's because I had not warmed up? Getting a nut off the ground was arduous (I'm 5'5"), but a difficult move led to a bomber #2 Camalot. Pumpy climbing above led mercifully to a belay.

Good stuff.

I've never been on a 10a with a V2 crux. Fun climb, with a bouldery start. Great gear. Had top roped it one time previously.

bouldery start and sustained 5.9 climbing. theres a no-hands-rest about 2/3 of the way up. A MUST DO.

Bouldery start! sustained the rest of the way. to the top of the ramp is 120'- not 40' like the book says.
