Ascent Notes for: Pony Express - 5.10b Average Rating : 3.00/5

This being my first route on Yam, i thought it was pretty exciting. We took the original 5.9 finish, which felt just as difficult as the 5th pitch (10a). Overall it was definitely an enjoyable day out!

I really did not like this route at all. Thought the grading was light and the rock was not good on the pillar which was supposed to be kind of the good pitch, I was hoping at least. Way over bolted in my opinion. Easy enough, just not a party is all.

Not to bad of a route, a very soft 5.10b compared to other routes. The 10a pitch seems a bit more sustained with the 5.10b just being awkward for a couple of moves. The rest of the route has good climbing and soft for the grade. A lot of bolts and the last pitch is nothing special now what I would call the real deal. A good fast route for a short day or for a double feature
