Hutch did all with work on this route, I did get the first ascent though. You need to come on down here and we will hit Rifle Hutch.

In retrospect, this route should have maybe 3 bolts on it and have been done ground up--BUT. in flavor to the rest of the crags at the area is safe, not heady. I have free-soloed this route in my Guide Tennies and have led it barefoot--it's all in the moving and the mind on this one, cheers :-)

Such a big difference in the style of climbing at the rest of the crag. You need to go into prepared to friction climb.

This is a fun climb because you need to trust your feet. It is unlike most other climbs I have found in the Bozeman area.

have yet to find a better friction climb in montana

It live up to its 5.8. It looks easy enough, but the rock is dimpled leaving the climber with not much to grasp. However, there is a layer of oxidation on the rock that glues to your shoes, lot of friction. Smear in hard and walk up er.

Looks way easier than it is. Good fun, clean route though.
